Kaylee's 5th Grade Science Project

Kaylee wanted to create 'Hanging Crystals' as her science project this year.

 Kaylee was so nervous to present...but I thought she did awesome!

at the end of it she says 'Mom, next time I'm going to keep a bottle of water...I couldn't even leave to get a drink". I will make note and get her a bottled water next time :)

Kaylee is really into the neon colors lately. Everything I buy (soccer socks, soccer shoes, soccer shirts, head bands, etc) is all the bright neon colors...So, her science project was no different. It turned out great!

Can't wait to see what's in store for next year when I will have two kids that are required to do science projects! Maybe I can talk them into doing one together!!! :))

My 'Loaner' Car :(

Well, my car's transmission decided to go out and I was left without a car....bummer.

Instead of going through my insurance to get a rental car, I asked the dealership if they had any 'loaner' cars....and wouldn't you know it....They DID !:)  The dealership let me drive this pretty sweet 2013 GMC Terrain. It had 450 miles on it and all the bells and whistles. It was a pretty sweet ride.  But all things must come to and end....they finished fixing my car with a brand new transmission (Thank goodness for warranties!) within a week. It was fun while it lasted! Maybe I do need my SUV back..:))

 Yeah, I liked this car......alot! I've always wanted to have the butt warmer option in my seats! lol

Kaylee's HC Storm U11 Premier Soccer Team - 2013

We had these pictures taken a while back and just thought I would post them. Kaylee received her first concussion 2 days prior to pictures. She was up to it, so we joined with the rest of the team for pictures. You can still see the swelling on her forehead that's coming down into her eyes. Poor kid...such a trooper!

As the Assistant Secretay of Sierra Bonita Elementary, I have a fun opportunity to have "Reading Groups" I used to be a reading tutor before I got this job, so they are utilizing my skills to the fullest. I have to tell ya, it's been so rewarding for me to see their progress!! Soooo, since they worked so dang hard on their reading challenges that I set forth for them, we celebrated and I gave them a "Good Job for Reading Root Beer Float Party". I love these kiddos! I am so blessed to have them in my groups

All my cute little 3rd graders...My groups were only 6-7 kids....I thought it would be fun to invite the students that have 'graduated my group' to come as well :)))

I read with Thomas Silver in Mrs. Wilkinsons Transistion First Grade class.

I am just smitten with this boy. He comes in with a smile every day ready to work, he has the funniest stories, and he said he always let me win at tick tack toe :) Wish I could clone this cute boy!

I am thankful to have this as one of my jobs....If I can even call it that. I love Sierra bonita and love who I work with, but most of all....THE KIDS!! This is all about the kids.....and I love every second of every day :)

Latest Futsal Standings - 2013

Kaylee's team is HC Storm Black, but she is double rostered and plays for the HC Storm Red as well....Good Job HC Storm!!

I'm a proud Momma when I see the 'GA' because that is 'Goals Against'...those numbers are really low compared to the other teams...which means Kaylee is doing a pretty awesome job!

Keeper Training Day 3 w/ Erica Owen

 Ahhh.... The Dives! Kaylee did extremely well. Even with the padding, I'm sure it hurt!

 Erica stood behind Kaylee and then threw the ball at the wall....Kaylee had no idea when it was coming or where....and she nailed it!! I'm loving all the progress Kaylee is making! Such a proud momma!

Kaylee absolutely loves these training and gets and crazy weird before they start..(nerves? who knows!) Erica has been so good to Kaylee...we have loved every second!
